Biography

In 2004 Retera joined the team at Stichting CHART. As a result, he was able to switch to the Formula Ford First Division. Representing Geva Racing, he became champion in the Benelux and Dutch Formula Ford First Division. It was a fantastic debut for Retera which was made even sweeter by a seventh place in the Formula Ford World Championship. In the winter we went to England for the Formula Ford Winter Series. There he had the pole position at one point and won a race. He finally finished fourth in his class.

In 2005 he once again raced in the Formula Ford, only now in the A class. That year Retera was champion in the Benelux and Dutch class again. Because of these results, Stichting CHART wanted to proceed further with Retera in motor racing. Third place in the Formula Ford World Championship (UK) was the icing on the cake.

Because Stichting CHART would like Retera to compete in Formula 3 in 2006, this is what we are preparing for. To start with, he has competed in the Formula Renault Winter Series at Brands Hatch (UK) and Croft (UK). There he finished fifth in his class against experienced Formula Renault drivers and also as Best Rookie. Coming up are the tests in Formula 3 cars with several teams. The aim is an entire season in Formula 3.
